The range of sunglasses and optical styles celebrates the evolution of the house’s distinctive aesthetic: sculptural lines, bold colour juxtapositions and refined jewelled embellishment all referencing the house’s ready-to wear collections.
Both men’s and women’s designs come with fine metallic bars, studs and piercings that evoke confidence and strength while echoing elements of Alexander McQueen clothing, jewellery and accessories. Vintage-inspired silhouettes are characterised by cutouts resonant of the slashed and cutaway details of both Alexander McQueen knitwear and tailoring. Beetle and spider-shaped decoration encrusted with crystal and pearls reflects the love of nature that lies at the heart of the Alexander McQueen name.
Standout pieces in the new collection include the AM0204S – This timeless metal pilot design with discreetly gradient lenses is characterised by a precious low-relief enamel finish on the top bar, around the lenses and on the end tips. The Alexander McQueen logo is lasered onto both sides adding character to this masculine style.
Along with the AM0194S – Retro character and modern femininity meet in this glamorous metal frame set with blue lenses. The cat-eye design is further distinguished by a playful cutout that extends from the front metal edge to the temples onto which the Alexander McQueen logo is lasered.
